Russia’s initiative to join the ICO, at the first stage as an observer, was discussed during Vladimir Putin’s visit to Malaysia.The President also noted that Russia is prepared to take on obligations of a financial nature that are necessary to join the ICO.

In October this year, Russia will participate as an observer at the Islamic Conference Organisation summit that will be held in Malaysia.
