The subjects of discussion included fighting corruption and facilitating small and medium business development.

The President said that in order to stimulate small and medium business development, the number of inspections should be cut and in a number of cases the regional Prosecutor’s Offices should be responsible for authorising inspections.

Mr Medvedev also announced that he has signed a decree enabling the Prosecutor’s Office to exercise its powers more fully, including in the area of supervision of the situation in small and medium business.
