The message said, in part:
“The time to take further steps in switching to a qualitatively new level of integration is now.
“Implementation of our agreement to switch to the Russian rouble as the single currency of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus is of key significance. The draft agreement on the Russian rouble as the only legal currency on the territory of Belarus is practically finished.”
The President proposed that the agreement be signed in the near future.
