The incident with the Russian submarine K-159, which sank in the Barents Sea on the way to be scrapped, will be thoroughly investigated.

The President said the tragedy shows that the sea requires discipline, it does not forgive mistakes and errors.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief gave the order to the Defence Minister to fly to Severomorsk.

Talking to the personnel of the “Moscow” cruiser, the President said service on the cruiser was no less responsible and dangerous, and expressed the hope that the sailors would represent the Russian fleet with dignity in Italy and Greece, where a division of ships is soon going.
