Russia’s political parties should take an active part in addressing the key priorities set out in the annual address to the Federal Assembly. This is particularly true of the parties that do have every chance of victory in the elections to the State Duma

The United Russia Party has proven that is was not founded for the sake of a one-off victory, but was created for long-term work that would bring results. This party is becoming an instrument that serves to unite the nation.

United Russia has built up the kind of potential that a party seeking the role of leading political force should have.

The President said he hoped the party would be able to make use of its unique resources in the upcoming elections to the State Duma.
