To enhance the effectiveness of state governance is necessary for successful economic development, Mr Putin said to the World Economic Forum, which met in Moscow to analyse Russian economic prospects and competitiveness.

It is necessary to put an end to unjustified state regulation and excessive interference in the economy.

To make the government apparatus more attuned to the needs of society, the economy and business is one of the main goals of the administrative reform.

The reform envisages administrative regulations to guarantee much greater transparency of the ruling bodies and decision-making.

Currently, there is every condition for Russia to join the community of economically developed states as a full member. The Russian economy has demonstrated intensive and sustainable progress in the last years.
