The two leaders backed the proposal to set up a youth exchanges agency between Russia and Germany made by one of the conference participants.
Mr Putin said that many Russian young people were studying German and that many young people had displayed a serious interest in the development of cooperation between the two countries. Russia has a special relationship with Germany and special historical ties, the President stressed.
