During the farewell ceremony, the flags of the Italian Republic, the Russian Federation, the European Union and the personal standard of the Italian President were flying at the Quirinal Palace tower. A guard of honour and a unit of mounted cuirassiers in period uniforms were lined up in front of the Italian President’s residence.
The Financial Guards band played the national anthems of the two countries and a military march.
