The leaders of the two countries discussed the state of and prospects for bilateral relations, economic and military-technical cooperation between Russia and Jordan and also examined Middle East regulation and the situation in Iraq.
This is the fifth time the Russian President and the King of Jordan have met since 2001. The visit continues the practice the authorities in the two countries have of exchanging views on various domestic and foreign policy issues, taking into account their common approaches to the main problems in international relations today and the mutual respect of national interests.
