The President said that few cities in the world can boast such energetic development as Moscow has undergone over the last decade. Mr Putin named machine–building, electricity, foodstuffs production and construction as just some of the sectors that demonstrate this rapid development and noted that it can also be seen in the city’s infrastructure.
Moscow is the nation’s capital, Mr Putin said, and this means that looking after it is the concern not only of the city authorities and the millions of Muscovites, but also of all of Russia, of the federal centre and the federal authorities.
