President Vladimir Putin has proposed that the state and businessmen pool their efforts to draw up an “agreed investment policy.” While speaking at a session of the governing board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the head of state stressed that this needed to be done in such spheres as education, healthcare, the environment and the mortgage system

Vladimir Putin believes that business should be involved in solving social problems. As the tax burden continues to be eased, the state is justifiably counting on the business community to become more active in the social sphere.

Another area of joint work for the state and business should be to uphold workers’ social and labour rights. The President believes that “corporative principles of social responsibility” need to be formulated today and that they have to be put into practice.

In Vladimir Putin’s opinion, the successful solution of social issues is a common strategic goal for both the state and business.
