When asked about the opportunity to prolong his presidential term, Mr Putin said he saw the reasons for this public initiative, aiming to enhance stability for the development of Russia. He, however, once again expressed disapproval of the idea, which implied stability at the expense of the Constitution, the pillar of Russian statehood.
