February 16, 2004

The Russian-Ukrainian Treaty on the Russian-Ukrainian State Border, signed in Kiev on January 28, 2003, is a basic document determining the state border on dry land, including rivers and lakes, and the principled approach to problems connected with the Black and Azov seas and the Kerch Strait.

The border was delimited by the team efforts of the relevant Russian and Ukrainian commissions. The resultant state border is shown on maps.
