The acting head of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations will take over responsibility for the preparation of trouble-free draining of the flood water in Lensk, control of the condition of the dwellings built after the flood in 2001 and the public supply system. Mr Shoigu will also visit the building sites of flood-protection works.
