The Russian President noted positive improvements in agriculture: a record harvest, a reduction in the number of loss-making factories, and the development of modern forms and mechanisms of supporting agricultural producers.

In the President's opinion, the Government should supervise the situation on the agricultural production market, so as not to allow drastic price increases. Further support of Russian producers is also necessary.

At the meeting, Vladimir Putin said he had signed a decree to reintroduce the medal ”For work in agriculture“.
