Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Armenian President Robert Kocharian on Armenia's initiative

Mr Kocharian congratulated Mr Putin on his “immense success in the presidential elections”.

Mr Kocharian and Mr Putin discussed practical issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the South Caucasus.
