The President also noted that the new Prime Minister has managed to continue with reorganising the government, keep the pace that has been set and pursue work on preparing social and economic reforms. Mr Putin was positive about the government’s work, emphasising that the reorganisation has not affected the decision-making process.

The President said that the Security Council’s role should also change, noting that its job is to analyse the state’s domestic and foreign policy and formulate proposals on developments in the situation both at home and regarding Russia’s place in the world.
