Space remains an area of military-political confrontation, but the world community should seek to demilitarise it, the President said at a meeting at the Federal Space Agency.

He stressed that all-round expansion and deepening of work in space was Russia’s strategic priority. Only by developing space exploration can Russia claim to be a world leader. During the gala meeting the President gave awards to eight Russian workers in the space industry.
