Mr Putin and Mr Kocharyan discussed current issues in bilateral relations. On President Putin’s request President Kocharian shared his views on the recent events in Yerevan in the wake of a flare up of political tensions. The Russian President expressed confidence that the leadership of Armenia would manage to draw on the substantial potential of democratic reform in the country in order to maintain stability, law and order.

The Presidents also discussed plans for further Russian-Armenian contacts at various levels, including the top level.
