The Stinol plant for the production of the refrigerators is one of the largest full-cycle enterprises in Europe. It was built by the firm Merloni Progetti in 1993 and was part of Novolipetsk Steel. Later Merloni Eletrodomestici SPA bought the enterprise from Novolipetsk Steel.
Today the plant produces 17 models of refrigerators and freezers under the Stinol and Indesit trademarks.
