The President believes that the space industry can insure effective investigation and rational use of natural resources, and increase the quality of predicting natural disasters.
The national space industry should work more effectively for Russian regions, and help the growth of their economy and the development of advanced information technology, the President said.
Vladimir Putin said he was in favour of developing national space potential, and also noted the importance of international cooperation in the space industry.
