President Putin said that the most important condition was support from the citizens of Chechnya. “We only need to justify these hopes and help people to restore their republic,” the President stressed.
Vladimir Putin ordered Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov to form a group of representatives of ministries and departments of Russia and send it to Chechnya over the next few days to discuss issues of helping the republic.
