Mr Putin and Mr Kocharian discussed prospects for the development of Russian-Armenian trade and economic cooperation, coordination of the two countries’ efforts in the fight against terrorism, the situation in the Caucasus and ways to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. They also exchanged opinions on current international and regional problems, and the plan to promote multilateral cooperation within the “Caucasus Four” (Russia, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan).
