Meeting with military academy graduates, President Vladimir Putin noted that the results of military exercises, including the recent exercises in the Far East at which operations went smoothly and the set objectives were met, are a sign of the Russian Armed Forces’ successes.

Creating modern, mobile and well-equipped armed forces is possible only if the country has highly professional and educated military personnel.

Addressing the newly graduated officers, Mr Putin said that military specialists’ education does not end when they receive their diplomas, but rather, it is an ongoing process that demands constant attention and effort. This is all the more true today when new technologies are developing all the time and modernisation is going on in all areas of military life.

The President congratulated the graduates on completing their studies and wished them success in their military careers — not an easy path, but one that they have chosen as their life’s work.
