Mikhail Zurabov, the Minister for health and social development, said that over 6 billion rubles had been allocated to financing children’s holidays, and the number of children staying at the resorts and camps was 1.2 million as of 1 August.
The Minister said that by Presidential decree, work on organising holidays for children in the Chechen Republic had been intensified. Over 11,000 Chechen children had taken holidays as of 1 August, and over 80 million rubles has already been spent on this. By the end of the year, this sum will come to 150 million rubles.
