To achieve this, precise criteria of assessing the activity of each department is required, the President stressed at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Zhukov – criteria which will help people see how much administrative reform helps in managing public and state finances.

Mr. Zhukov added that this is especially important because ministeries will have considerable independence in spending budget funds, and shoul take responsibility for how they are used.

Mr. Putin called on the Government to objectively show citizens of Russia the dynamic of the country’s development in recent years, so that they can make an objective assessment of work done, including work by the executive power.
