A total of 30,000 young officers who have served three years in the Armed Forces, as well as 25,000 warrant officers, will receive funds to buy apartments in 2005 through a mortgage-based housing loans programme.

Military wages are also set to rise and servicemen will receive additional payments to compensate for the loss of the right to use municipal public transport for free.
