The two Presidents discussed in particular the situation in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Concerning the bilateral agenda, the two Presidents emphasised the importance of continuing the energy sector dialogue underway between Russia and the United States and noted the need to step up the activities of the corresponding working group.
The conversation also dealt with the question of future top-level Russian-U.S. contacts.
