The President visited all the wards occupied by people injured when terrorists took Beslan school No. 1 hostage, especially the wards where those with severe injuries were taken. In one ward, Mr Putin came to the bedside of the school’s director, who had been seriously injured but was conscious. He then visited the children’s wards.
North Ossetian President Alexander Dzasokhov also came to the hospital and then went with Mr Putin to the town administration building where the operations headquarters for freeing the hostages is located.
