On behalf of the Ukrainian people and as the Chairman of the CIS Council Mr Kuchma expressed very deep and sincere condolences in connection with the tragedy in Beslan (North Ossetia). President Kuchma said that Ukraine is ready to make neccessary steps to help all the victims of the terrorists' attacks and resolve the situation.
Mr Putin thanked his Ukrainian colleague, the whole Ukrainian leadership and people for their solidarity.
