“I was saddened to learn of the passenger plane crash in New York State – a tragic event that caused much loss of life,” Mr Medvedev said in his telegram. “On my personal behalf and on behalf of everyone in Russia, I offer my sincere condolences to the families of the passengers and crew, and wish them courage and spiritual strength at this difficult time.”
The crash of a passenger plane in the evening on February 12 in the suburbs of Buffalo (New York State) killed 49 people.
