On behalf of the political leadership, the people of Libya and himself personally, Muammar Gaddafi expressed his sincere and deep condolences and sympathy for the people of Russia in connection with the tragic consequences of international terrorist acts in Beslan. The Libyan side stressed that it was prepared if necessary medical and humanitarian aid to the victims of the terrorist act.
Mr Putin expressed his gratitude for the show of solidarity.
