The President of the World Bank expressed his condolences to the people of Russia in connection with the tragic events in Beslan, and said he was prepared to provide assistance in issues within the Bank’s competence in order to liquidate the consequences of the terrorist act.
Mr Putin and Mr Wolfensohn also discussed the necessity of coordinating efforts in opposing international terrorism.
