Sergei Mironov informed the President about the special meeting of the Federation Council called for 20 September. At the meeting, it is planned to create a special commission to investigate the circumstances that led to the tragedy in Beslan.

Mr Putin ordered the law-enforcement bodies and the General Prosecutor’s office to provide the necessary information for the activity of the commission. We are all interested in receiving a full and objective picture of the tragic events connected with the capture of hostages in Beslan, Mr Putin said.
