Silvio Berlusconi expressed his sincere condolences, and his solidarity with the President and the people of Russia, who lived through such a brutal terrorist act. Mr Berlusconi stressed that Italy was prepared to provide additional aid if necessary to overcome the difficult consequences of this act of international terrorism.
The conversation was held on the initiative of the Italian side.
