The fight against international terrorism was a key issue on the agenda at the Commonwealth of Independent States summit in Astana, Kazakhstan.

President Vladimir Putin said once again that double standards are unacceptable in the fight against international terrorism.

The summit participants adopted a joint declaration in which the leaders of the CIS countries express full solidarity with Russia in its fight against terrorism and state their conviction that the world will be able to prevent the spread of international terrorism only if all civilised people make a consolidated effort to fight it.
