Everything possible must be done to neutralise the drugs threat coming from Afghanistan

Meeting with Viktor Cherkesov, the chief of the Federal Drugs Control Service, President Vladimir Putin called for more intensive cooperation in preventing drugs trafficking from Afghanistan between the partners that make up the international force located in that country.

The President said that an objective assessment needs to be made of the threat posed by drugs from Afghanistan, particularly for Western countries.
