At the conclusion of the meeting of the Council of heads of member countries of the Central Asian Cooperation Organisation in Dushanbe, a joint press conference was held by the Presidents of CACO member countries

President Vladimir Putin considers economic interaction in the format of CACO to be very promising, including in the agroindustrial sphere, the formation of a common transport space, and the stimulation of border trade.

By its involvement in the organisation, Russia expects to seriously increase its practical capabilities in opposing threats such as terrorism, religious extremism, and illegal drug trafficking.
