President Vladimir Putin signed the law on ratifying the protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Russia and the European Union

The additional protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement has been signed following the European Union’s enlargement on May 1, 2004, which resulted in 10 new members joining – the Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia.

The protocol extends the provisions of the Russia-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement to the 10 new EU members.
