Speaking at the XIV congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, President Vladimir Putin called on the business community to work together with the state to resolve the new, major, issues the country faces.

Private business could play a part in carrying out state infrastructure projects, especially in the North Caucasus, in reviving the vocational education system and developing the social sphere.

The state, in turn, must help business by guaranteeing that the results of completed privatisation deals will not be revised and providing all-round protection to the private sector as one of the foundations of the market economy.
