Following their talks the two sides approved a statement in connection with Mr Putin’s first visit to Portugal.
The statement sets out the main directions for bilateral cooperation between Russia and Portugal and states Moscow and Lisbon’s positions on international cooperation in the fight against terrorism, relations between Russia and the European Union and NATO and cooperation within the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
