At the national meeting of the leading personnel of the FSB bodies responsible for border activity, President Vladimir Putin noted that now, unlike previous years, when the state did not pay enough attention to the problems of border service, the necessary funds for changing the infrastructure are being allocated consistently and smoothly. They should be spent effectively, rationally, and concentrated on priority areas.

Border divisions should be equipped with new weapons, and have a decent social infrastructure.

In accordance with the Decree “On measures to ensure border security in the North Caucasus region”, it is planned to build more than 70 border posts, several headquarters of border divisions, a modern personnel training centre, and accommodation for border guards.
