Kanwar Natwar Singh told the Russian President about his talks with the members of the Russian delegation, such as Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Zhukov and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. At the meetings, there was discussion of energy, reform to the UN Security Council, cooperation in the defence sphere, the war on terrorism and Islamic issues.
The talk was held in the library of the Maurya Sheraton hotel.
