Speaking at Russian-Greek talks, President Vladimir Putin said he was certain that this kind of relations is in the interests of Russia and Greece and can help strengthen peace and stability in the Balkan region and throughout Europe in general.
One key area in relations between the two countries is cooperation in the energy sector. Other priorities include diversifying trade relations, stepping up scientific-technical and industrial cooperation and developing ties in science, culture and education.
