The Baikal Museum, one of three museums in the world devoted to lakes, is located on the shores of Lake Baikal, at the source of the Angara River.
The museum’s exhibits present a very comprehensive picture of the lake’s geological construction and natural landscapes, climatic, hydro-chemical and hydrological particularities, and the origins and characteristics of its inhabitants.
