The meeting discussed the issue of organising public transport use for people formerly entitled to free public transport. Mr Putin noted that as the new law replacing benefits with cash payments is implemented, the authorities should take every step necessary to ensure that labour veterans, people who worked on the home front during World War II and victims of political repression do not feel they are becoming worse off.
