The telegram reads:
“Accept my deep condolences for the numerous victims and the death of former Prime Minister of Lebanon Rafik Hariri in the terrorist act in the centre of the Lebanese capital.
I firmly condemn this terrible crime, and I am sure that those responsible for it will not be able to undermine the internal peace and stability in friendly Lebanon.”
The Russian President also expressed his condolences to the family of former Prime Minister Hariri.
