Meeting with representatives of the CSKA sports club, President Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of developing children’s sport in Russia.

Mr Putin said that by supporting children’s sport, the state helps to encourage future generations to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The President noted CSKA’s major contribution to promoting sport among young people. The priority focus in this area is to develop a network of affordable and accessible sports clubs and sports-health centres for children and adolescents.
