“I am sure that your work in this high-ranking position will serve to establish peace, safety and stability in Iraq, and ensure its true independence. On my part, I would like to stress that our country is prepared to continue developing the traditionally friendly Russian-Iraqi relations, and to assist the economic revival of Iraq.

I wish you good health and success in the region, and to the friendly Iraqi people, I wish a swift resolution to the post-war problems, and successful progress on the path to building a sovereign and democratic state.”
