Presidential Plenipotentiary the Ural Federal District Pyotr Latyshev announced it to the President. The project will allow linking the southern Regions with developed metallurgy and engineering; and the northern oil and gas Regions by means of construction of a railway and a highway from the Yamal Peninsula to the Ural Range.
Pyotr Latyshev is convinced that the Perm and Omsk Regions will be willing to join the project.
The border Regions of Kazakhstan are also interested in closer integration cooperation with the Ural Federal District.
